6 Hour Package Deal: $300.00

Buckle Up will pick up at residence, perform lesson and return driver to residence

 

To apply for an instruction permit, students must complete:

Knowledge Test/Permit Test

Is conducted in Spanish, Russian, English, Hmong, Karen, Somali  and Vietnamese.

Test consist of 40 multiple choice or true/false questions. A student must answer 32 questions correctly to pass and obtain a Minnesota permit.

If your language is not listed above, please call 651-284-1000 or 651-284-1234 to schedule an oral examination. You the tester must provide an interpreter that can speak your language and English. The State of Minnesota DOES NOT provide an interpreter.

Provide a primary and secondary form of identification

  • Primary Forms: Certified Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
  • Secondary Forms: Social Security Card or State Identification Card, must know Social Security Number.
  • Pass a vision test
  • Have their photo taken
  • Pay the fee (cash or checks accepted, no credit cards)

ROAD TESTS

Schedule Road Test by visiting website: www.mndriveinfo.org.  Then click on Schedule skills test in middle of screen, follow steps.

 

To be Eligible to take Road Test, Students must:

  • Have held an Instruction permit for minimum 6 months.
  • Vehicle for testing (Vehicle provided by Buckle-Up for an additional fee)
  • Proof of Valid Insurance
  • Signed and completed Minnesota state dated log sheet
  • Must be accompanied by a licensed driver 21 or older.
  • Permit
